American Bonsai Society
Founded in 1967, the American Bonsai Society, Inc. is the pioneering national bonsai organization. As a non-profit corporation, there purpose is to promote knowledge of and interest in bonsai and to serve as a national focal point for bonsai fanciers.
The Internet Bonsai Club
The Internet Bonsai Club is a web site and Mailing List dedicated to the Art of Bonsai. This is where you want to be if you like Bonsai, this is a very active discussion group with over 500 members and boast a membership of most, if not all of the renowned authors of popular bonsai books and bonsai nursery owners from all over the world.
This list generates from 50 to 100 email messages per day from its active members. If you join I suggest you set up your email program to forward all messages from this group to a separate folder so you can keep an archive of messages received.
They welcome people who are new to the world of bonsai and will answer your questions directly or explain how to search the list archive to find answers needed.

This is essentially the same as the internet Bonsai Club but in the news group format, this list even exchanges messages with the internet bonsai club so it really is pretty much the same.

A Japanese Maple nursery with over 200 cultivars of Acer palmatum, plus many other Asian maple species. They also offer many cultivars of the European Beech. I have not done business with them but have heard many good reports on the IBC, their web site is beautiful.
